How They "Find" More Babies for Adopters
Infant Adoption Awareness Training
$9M/yr. federally-funded Infant Adoption Awareness Training (IAAT)
targets the 97% of single parents who would otherwise keep their child.
Many people both married and single in the United States hope to
adopt an infant. Now that most mothers have the support of family
to keep their sons and daughters, should the government fund a program
designed to make them available for adoption instead?
Read More: Why
Infant Adoption Awareness Training Must be Ended
Targeting teenagers to "sell" them on adoption is not much
different than targeting teenagers to sell them tobacco - the effects
are very serious and many of these effects are not evident until many
years later. Years later, moms can see how their relationships have
been affected, how their interactions with their kept children (many
are too traumatized to have more children) have been affected. They
discover too late what it is like to miss out on your son's or daughter's
childhood. Some natural moms find adoption so much more painful than
they ever could have anticipated that they turn to drugs, drinking
or sex. Others commit suicide.
Everyone benefits from adoption? That is not true. We do not need
Infant Adoption Awareness Training or any advertising to get
babies away from their own mothers and fathers.
Abolish Infant Adoption Awareness!
