Support and Information

thing" - she is a mother.

who, having lost their children to adoption, were being continuously
re-traumatised each time so-called experts and health professional

we, as mothers, should have accepted the loss of our living babies

Stephen
Fitzpatrick - adoptee speaks out against adoption.
"The first myth that I believed, which gave me a very negative
and destructive imprint as a child, was that I was not wanted and
not loved. As well as creating hatred towards my mother, it created
a sense of loyalty towards my adoptive parents, and the feeling that
I needed to behave, and be good in order to not repeat the same mistakes
and be rejected again. These are dangerous beliefs to hold. Not only
are they untrue, but they are emotionally and spiritually very damaging."

had no subsequent children.
"Although I had dreamed of having my own family, after I relinquished
my baby, at the age of 20, there was such a deep seated terror in
me of the devastating loss I associated with pregnancy that I made
sure that I never became pregnant again. ...My son is now 37 years
old and hates me. What's ironic about all of this is that I loved
him so much that I gave him up so he would have love, not understanding
that my love was the only love he really needed. And now I understand
that his love for his real mother was all I really needed, and both
of us have been denied that fundamental and basic life force. I have
tried to reach him...."
