Help
for Unplanned Pregnancy
Being single, "unwed", unmarried or divorced does not mean
you as a mother (or father) can't keep your baby. Your child is your
own family member, your own son or daughter. Do not hurry into selecting
("choosing") adoptive parents. Adoptive parents may be just
as good at changing diapers but like a step-parent, they cannot take
the place of a child's own natural parents, grandparents, ancestors
and siblings.
Options for "parenting" (raising your child).

Child and Making it Work.
The adoption industry and reproductive technology businesses like
to put forth the notion that the person who purchased and owns the
child is the "real" mother or father. They claim the one
raising the child deserves to be called the mother or father.
They use the term "parenting" rather than the terms "raising
a child" or "child rearing" to lessen the insecurities
of the child buyers.
Many times there is a nanny raising the child or a grandmother.
If a nanny is raising the child, she is still considered the nanny.
The grandmother is still a grandmother. The unrelated person who has
purchased a child is NOT THE SAME AS a real mother or father.
